Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 June 2026

This document was written in good faith to reasonably govern the use of TASKMAKER.CA, but it has not been written or reviewed by a legal professional and does not constitute legal advice.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on TASKMAKER.CA, you accept these terms of service as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the application.

2. Service description

TASKMAKER.CA is a free web application for project and task management, allowing a company to track its projects, assign tasks to its members, and log the associated work time.

3. No warranty — provided "as is"

TASKMAKER.CA is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available," without any warranty of any kind, express or implied — notably without warranty of continuous availability, error-free operation, absolute security, or fitness for a particular purpose. The application may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time, without notice.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of TASKMAKER.CA disclaims all liability for:

  • Any data loss, service interruption, or technical error;
  • Any decision made by you or your organization based on information entered in the application (planning, time tracking, workload statistics, etc.);
  • Any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use or inability to use the application.

You use TASKMAKER.CA at your own risk.

5. Your content

You remain the owner of all data you enter into the application (projects, tasks, comments, etc.). You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you place there. It is forbidden to enter data you do not have the legal right to process (for example, sensitive personal data of third parties without their consent).

6. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out under your account. The first account created for a company automatically becomes its administrator and can invite, modify, deactivate, or delete other accounts within its company.

7. Account and data deletion

A company administrator can delete a user account, or, under certain conditions, delete their entire company and all associated data (projects, tasks, history). This action is irreversible. See our Privacy Policy for more details on data retention.

8. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use the application for illegal purposes;
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or access another company's data;
  • Deliberately overload the technical infrastructure (for example, through abusive automated scripts).

9. Changes to the service or these terms

These terms may be modified from time to time; the update date is shown at the top of this page. The application itself may evolve, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time, without obligation of notice or compensation.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules, to the extent this does not conflict with mandatory rights applicable in your jurisdiction of residence.
